The Official HorrorNews.Net Podcast
Episode 5 – Iron Man 3

May is the beginning of the summer cinema season with Iron Man 3 launching the festivities with tremendous response from the audiences. Marvel Studios enlists Shane (Lethal Weapon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) Black to direct Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Jon Favreau returning in their roles of Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, James Rhodes and Happy Hogan. Guy Pearce and Ben Kingsley step up as this film’s villains to take a mighty swing at Iron Man and the Iron Patriot. Opinions vary for the grue-crew; but, in the end, everyone agrees the film is fun and entertaining.

The news from Dave Dreher this weeks begins with talk of Synapse’s BluRay release of Hammer Films’ Hands of the Ripper. Next up is Kickstarter discussion as Fangoria steps into the ring to reach out to finance their upcoming horror film, The Facility. Dave then shares the announcement that the AIP library is now up for remakes with 10 titles announced including the cheesy but fantastic War of the Colossal Beast . Eli Roth is back in the news this week with his latest effort (as actor and producer), Aftershock, a bloody, scary disaster film. Last up is discussion of the resurgence of Bigfoot films from Bobcat Goldthwait’s Willow Creek, Eduardo (The Blair Witch Project) Sánchez’ Exists and the horror-comedy Love in the Time of Monsters.

Also, don’t forget the contest to win a signed poster for the upcoming flick Krampus: The Christmas Devil is still running with only a few weeks left for fans to leave their best, funniest, craziest Tag Line for the film. Check out the trailer below, let your mind create pure insanity and send it into the crew at docrotten at horrornews dot net or any of the social media contacts below. Krampus: the Christmas DevilIMDB and Youtube.
